GeoMedia and GeoMedia Professional

Intergraph's GeoMedia GIS products offer an innovative solutions to enterprise data access.  Based on the Open GIS (OGIS) consortium model for data access, GeoMedia allows you to access multiple data sources in different map projections "on the fly."  Current data sources include ArcView Shape files, ARC/INFO Coverages, Oracle SDC, Oracle SDO, MGE, MapInfo, FRAMME, DGN, DXF, and others.   The GeoMedia products offer full GIS functionality including advanced spatial analysis, plotting, editing, and data validation.  Imagine being able to perform buffering, spatial analysis, and plotting on Shape files, MapInfo tables, and Oracle SDC all at the same time - without translating.

GeoMedia Web Map

GeoMedia Web Map takes the GeoMedia functionality to the web.  Using GeoMedia Web Map you can access the same data sources (on the fly) and serve the data to clients over your intranet or on the internet.  In addition, GeoMedia Web map serves the data in Active CGM format.  This format delivers an intelligent vector map to the user's browser.  The user then can perform viewing, data review, and redlining on their browser without multiple requests to the server.   This means fewer requests to the server allow you to deliver data to more users and the users experience higher performance.

ESRI customers are using GeoMedia web map to serve their Shape files and Coverages over the Net.   As with GeoMedia, Web Map can project shape files and Coverages on the fly so you can use data sources from different departments and projects without having to project the data before you deliver  it.

GRS offers customized training, data services, and application development for Intergraph's GeoMedia and MGE suite of products.
